>>Small but important aside here: Ender's Game is Kay's favourite book. Unfortunately the author, Orson Scott Card, believes that "laws against homosexuality should remain on the books...to send a clear message that those who flagrantly violate society's regulation of sexual behavior cannot be permitted to remain as acceptable, equal citizens within that society". I believe he is referring to the laws and members
At 11:13am (MST) I turned 39. Kay and I are celebrating by doing things we won't get to do again once StormyD shows up! That is: sleeping in, going to a fabulous dinner (last night at Corso 32) and a movie tonight (Ender's Game).

Today, we got the official news! My wife is pregnant. Love for this not-yet-whole being has already shaken my heart so why not blog about it! For part of our honeymoon, my wife and I went to the beautiful Island of Lesbos (how awesomely cliche?!). Lesbos is the birthplace of Sappho, a wonderfully romantic Greek poet from 6th century BCE who partook in the love of women (a very good choice, if you ask me). For each posting, I am going to attempt to attach a quote from one of Sappho's pieces. We shall see how it goes!! It has been quite a journey to get here so please feel free to follow the story of our adventure into motherhood as it unfolds. Love shook my heart |
